Resident
Artists

We invite playwrights eager to develop their unique voices and styles and explore new narratives to become resident artists at Prologue. Our resident artists gain access to library resources, dramaturgical consultations, developmental workshops, administrative support, and international networking opportunities, providing them with the tools to refine their craft and expand their artistic horizons.

 

2025/2026 Resident Artists 

  • Yu-Hsuan Chou: A playwright who merges traditional arts with modern drama. She was nominated for the Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music.

  • Ihot Sinlay Cihek: An indigenous artist whose works explore the intersection of gender and ethnicity. She was nominated for the Taishin Arts Award.

2024/2025 Resident Artists 

  • Chiao-Jung Chen: A versatile writer of plays, musicals, and comics. She was nominated for the Taiwan Literature Award for My Sister’s Keeper.

  • Cheng-Chun Lee: Winner of the 2024 Taipei Literature Award for Middle School Daily

  • Lu-Chieh Lin: An artist who integrates magic and storytelling in theatre. 

  • Kuan-Ting Lin: An emerging playwright exploring Taiwanese diaspora history through a reflective lens. 

Yu-Hsuan Chou (2025/2026)

Being a resident artist at Prologue allows me to take a short break from the gongs and drums of tradition and embark on a new writing journey. I am both thrilled and grateful to explore a new side of myself in the company of Prologue.
